Why I am on Social Media.

Hello,

A friend of mine recently asked another friend if all the pictures I take are for Instagram show-off or if I am a model or ever done modeling. I am sure that she was not the first person to question my intentions of taking pictures and sharing them on Instagram since most of my Instagram friends rarely check my blog let alone read its content. Just to clarify, I created my blog in 2011 before I even started using Instagram. My passion for fashion led my way into the blogosphere and Instagram. I had anticipated by now to turn that passion into a profitable brand or business. Nonetheless to say that that hasn't happened yet, but I can assure you that it is still a dream of mine.

Back to the topic, the pictures I take are for my blog and Instagram happens to be a quick way to share the content and stay in touch with my followers. Instagram is a social network platform used to share photos and videos online. It is also used to promote one’s brand or business, in this case, my fashion blog. Other than Instagram I also use Pinterest, another visual platform for inspiration and a great way to share ideas with people of the same passion and interest as of mine.

My Instagram account is linked to the blog for my followers to quickly get access to my content when I have not yet uploaded it to the blog.  Fashion blogging is a hobby of mine and Instagram happened to be one way of expressing my passion.

Do you ever get asked why you blog? How do you answer when asked why you are on social media platforms?

Shades of Blue

Hello,

Let me start by saying that I miss getting all dressed up on Sundays. Saturdays are my chill-days which means jeans and t-shirts, and Sundays are more dressy days. Modest fashion is my go-to, especially on Sundays.
Can we talk about this blazer? Like I have said before if you have a Gabriel Brother's in your town, hit them up for real. This blazer is from Gabriel Brother's or Gabes, in the male section for just less than $10. The pattern is so beautiful and a great addition to my evening closet.

Let's Talk Skincare

Hello,

Ever since I was little, my mom always pushed me to really care for my skin. She would tell me, you will thank me later. She used to make and I am sure she still does, this rich and creamy cow ghee lotion that she would make me and my brother use at night. Altho that sh** smelled horrendous, it left our skins feeling soft and shiny. That pretty much build my skincare routine. I have always been a girly girl, so I always took care of my skin and never left my house without makeup until hitting 30. Makeup every day isn't the best option, I gotta let my skin breath once in a while.

Now that I know the importance of good and consistent skincare, I thank my mom for installing in me that practice from when I was young. I am pretty satisfied with my skin and I have learned a few things along the way on how to care and stick to a routine.

When it comes to which products to use, you need to try out a few options and find out which ones work best for you. I would recommend Clinique, Cetaphil, and Kiehl's. There is a million products out there, try as many as possible and give it at least a month.
The most important advice is never ever to sleep with your makeup and drink water!
